About the author
Miodrag Mitrasinovic is an architect, urbanist, educator and author living in Brooklyn, NY. He is also Dean of the School of Design Strategies and an Associate Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at Parsons School of Design, The New School. Mitrasinovic’s professional and scholarly work has been published internationally, including the Journal of Architecture and Building Science of the Architectural Institute of Japan, L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui, Metropolis, and City Invasions: 14 International Projects for Vienna (Birkhäuser 1994). He is the author of Total Landscape, Theme Parks, Public Space (Ashgate 2006), Co-editor (with J. Traganou) of Travel, Space, Architecture (Ashgate 2009), and also Co-editor of The New Public Realm (010 Publishers 1994). Two of his books are recipients of the prestigious Graham Foundation Grant in 2004 and 2005 respectively. He is a member of the international advisory board of the peer-reviewed journal Design and Culture (Berg), and has also served in a variety of scholarly, professional and editorial roles ≡
